Is Dr. Perry a dental specialist? Why does she have a PhD?
Dr. Perry is a general dentist, not a specialist. However in addition to earning her Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree at Harvard, she also completed a Doctor of Philosophy degee (PhD). This means that Dr. Perry has extensive academic and research training and is an expert in the field of mitochondrial diseases in addition to being a dentist. Dr. Perry did also complete a residency at UCLA in Advanced Education in General Dentistry which means that she has extensive training in restorative dentistry beyond what is taught in dental school.
Where is Dr. Perry's dental office?
Dr. Perry is an associate dentist in offices in Encino and Granada Hills, CA and is available by appointment only:

Does Dr. Perry Accept dental insurance?
Dr. Perry accepts different insurances based on office locations:
Encino office: Out of network for all insurances (PPO insurances can be billed as an out-of-network provider)
Granada Hills office: In-network provider for Delta Dental PPO, Aetna PPO, Cigna PPO, Metlife PPO
Dr. Perry is not a provider for Medi-cal or HMO plans
Does Dr. Perry see patients on Saturdays?
Currently, no, however Saturdays may soon be available once a month in the Granada Hills location. Dr. Perry is available M-F and will respond to after hours emergencies on the weekends for existing patients.
I am nervous for my dental visit? How can I feel calm during my appointment
Dental anxiety is a totally normal and very common issue. Many patients love coming to see Dr. Perry because she has a trained service dog on staff that provides emotional support to patients. "Pongo" is availble to patients on request and will calmly sit on your lap during your dental exam or procedure. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is also available upon request at both office locations.
